Announcing the 2023 Arizona Council of the Blind Annual Conference

We are excited to invite you, your friends, family and colleagues to join us for the 2023 AZCB Annual Conference, taking place virtually Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15.

“Care! Connect! Create!”

This year’s theme is “Care, Connect and Create,” and each of our sessions and speakers will focus on how we can come together to offer friendship and support within our local chapters, through our state organization and through our national parent organization, the American Council of the Blind. We are working on the final program details and will be updating this page with information about specific sessions as we get them finalized, so check back often. In the meantime, here’s a summary of the conference-related events, so mark your calendars and join us.

Preliminary Event Schedule

  • Game Night – Friday, April 14 – 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Morning Café – Bring your own breakfast and get to you’re other attendees – Saturday, April 15 – 8:00 to 8:30 a.m.
  • 2023 AZCB Conference – Saturday, April 15 – 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
  • Lunch and Learn – Bring your own lunch and hear updates from around the state – Saturday, April 15 – 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
  • Annual AZCB Business Meeting – Saturday, April 15 – 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
All events will be hosted on the Zoom platform, and most will be streamed on ACB Media. If you wish to participate, you must register as an attendee.

Registering is Easy and Free!

This year, there is no charge to attend our event, but if you wish to participate through Zoom, you must register by 5pm, Thursday April 14th and the Zoom information will be emailed to you that night or Friday morning. Important Information:

Full participation in the annual meeting portion of our convention is limited to AzCB members whose dues have been received on or before March 15th. There is no fee to attend the annual meeting; however, registration is required in order for you to receive the Zoom meeting participation credentials. If you are only attending the annual meeting portion of this year’s event, please mark the appropriate checkbox at the end of the registration form. (Note: New members taking advantage of this promotion will not be able to run for office during this first year.)
